Daisies by the Roadside

Driving in the countryside in Ontario, Canada during the Summer is a rather pleasant experience. The snow that ordinarily cloaks the ground for so many months of the year is all but forgotten, as farmers' fields beam green and burst with creatures and plants alike.

The lakes are filled with cheery holiday-goers and the back roads kick up dust as you drive homeward, usually in the wake of a splendid sunset.

On this particular afternoon, I couldn't help but take a moment to "stop and smell the flowers", sweeping up a few daisies that were growing wild by the side of the road and capturing the moment with these photos.
